OK! gets creative with Jennifer Aniston & John Mayer cover

Once again, OK! magazine has turned its pages over to a creative writing class.

This week’s assignment was to put words into Jennifer Aniston’s mouth. And OK! succeeds with a cover that features Aniston and John Mayer, and claims “Jen Confirms: He’s Mine!” The magazine’s cover also promises details of “their passionate nights” and “Jen’s baby plan.”

Where should we start? With it all being wrong – or should we get to that later?

We’ll get to that later. First, besides making up a fake quote from Aniston, the magazine deceptively uses a picture of Mayer and the “Friends” star holding onto each other – from 2008!

In addition to claiming they’ve had a series of “sexy nights” (who wrote this, Borat?), the article stresses that Aniston is now “playing things cooler” and is “more relaxed and carefree.” It goes on to say, “Jen doesn’t want to put pressure on the situation. Her plan is to be relaxed and just trust in fate. She’s convinced John is the right man to father her child – and it’s all about just letting that happen.”

OK, that’s enough with OK!

By all other legit accounts and Gossip Cop’s digging, Aniston and Mayer are not going for Round Three. Aniston’s rep adds, they are simply “friends and have many other friends in common.”

    Ridiculous!… Wasn’t the Enquirer (correct me if wrong, pls) saying something about Jennifer not leaving Jolie-Pitts alone, just like a week ago? So, that one was BS… Hey, now let’s say she can’t let John go…?… pffffff… Who will be next week? Pitt again? Ridiculous!

    I still don’t understand why it’s so difficult to think men and women can be friends… and, hey! if they weren’t… not your business… I really like them both, so… best for them! as whatever they want to be… the best!

    Jennifer Aniston and Justin Timberlake must get sick and tired of all the fake stories that get made up about them. Lately it’s been one thing after another about Jennifer and John and Justin and Jessica. None of which have been true. I don’t know how they ignore it like they do. If it was me I’d probably be screaming at the top of my lungs, NONE OF IT IS TRUE. LOL

    ^^ Well, in Aniston’s case, everyone in Hollywood knows that she and her PR flack (Stephen Huvane) feed the rags these lies to generate publicity and deflect from bad press (her movie bombing, Mayer’s gay frolicking, etc).

    It helps John Mayer with his inconvenient gay exploits from comng out (the first time, John & Jen made headlines he was being accused by gossip queen Perez of tongueing him in some bar w/ Jess Simpson looking on) In this most recent case, being linked to Aniston deflects the eyewitness accounts of John in a gay bar getting his freak on just a couple weeks ago (btw, both incidents after much dodging, Mayer has admitted to – he tries to play it off like he’s a 21st century Renaissance man, comfortable in his sexuality…riiiiiiiiight, oookaaaay. lol) – plus since John’s a fellow CAA client (who the first time he was with Aniston was promised a TV show), he’ll be getting lots of press that will help his new CD which is releasing within days.

    For Aniston, it all deflects from the fact that she can’t open a film by herself – her movies are atrocious and that she’s a dud at the box office. I believe she and her PR people think that if she can land in as many tabloids and weeklies (right up there with Kardashian and the Gosselins) that will somehow equate to her being a safe bet in terms of getting her sh*tty movies bankrolled.

    If that was the case Jen, my dear, we’d be casting Kate & Jon instead of you and Aaron Eckhart.

    It’s all strategic with Aniston and her PR flack. Much of what you see is planted and then quickly denied by them (though the vociferousness of their denials vary, depending on what they want to sit out there and marinate – her PR tool is a known liar also) – they pull the ol’ bait & switch constantly, believe it.

    Oh, and here’s a tip gossipcop – an easy way in which to tell if a celeb is in collusion with a rag:

    If the cover pic, seems sanctioned by the celebrity herself. For instance, it’s well known Aniston takes some godawful pics, conditions have to be ‘right,’ in other words. So when you see an absolutely adorable pic (in her and her PR flack Huvane’s mind, anyway) you know you are looking at an Aniston ‘special.’

    Those of us ‘in the know,’ actually laughed our asses off at the almost TWO YEAR OLD pic that was used by Huvane’s request.

    They are so obvious – it’s just weird how no one clocks her – but then again, everyone is getting paid, so I guess her collusion is good for the rags, and her own PR.

    I guess even Gossipcop is catching on with Aniston – apparently even he can tell when he’s kinda being ‘toyed with,’ when seeking out a definitive answer on this. My guess is, when Aniston’s pal was humiliating Mayer at that dinner a few months ago, Aniston may have had a very different response thru her PR tool (on the order of ‘HELL NO!) but since both she and Mayer are now colluding to generate publicity and deflect bad (movies bombing, gay rumors, etc) — you’re getting a lukewarm, ‘close friends,’ response – which s why you have your ‘truth meter,’ set at 2, and not 0, I’m guessing. Be honest GC, tell us all how you’re being toyed with by her PR. It doesn’t help you to NOT expose the fakery.
