Nyle DiMarco Injured In ‘DWTS’ Rehearsal, Gets Four Stitches (VIDEO)
Nyle DiMarco, who’s set to compete on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” Season 22 premiere, is the first contestant to get injured. While rehearsing, the winner of last year’s “America’s Next Top Model” got hit by his dance partner Peta Murgatroyd’s elbow, resulting in a cut around his eyebrow that required four stitches. See the video below.
The rehearsal started off fine with DiMarco taking off his shirt to reveal he chiseled body, prompting Murgatroyd to exclaim, “Yes!” before adding, “I’m totally fine with this.” But then it took an ugly turn for the handsome, deaf model. As Murgatroyd did a series of spins, her elbow clipped him right above his left eye, and within seconds blood began gushing down his face. An upset Murgatroyd quickly apologized. “I’m so sorry. I have never hit anyone that badly in my whole life,” she said.
Via an interpreter, DiMarco explained after leaving the hospital, “So I just left the hospital. I had to get four stitches on my left eyebrow.” He went to say, “I definitely realized today that dancing is definitely a full-contact sport,” before noting, “I like it!”
Season 22 of “Dancing With The Stars” begins Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC. Check out the video below of Nyle DiMarco accidentally getting hit and injured by his dance partner Peta Murgatroyd.
