Nyle DiMarco Nabs Near Perfect Score On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (VIDEO)
Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd danced a nearly perfect foxtrot to U2’s “Beautiful Day” on “Icons” night of “Dancing With The Stars.” Watch the video below.
Last week, DiMarco’s received mixed reviews for his quickstep to “Hey Pachuco” from the movie The Mask on “Famous Dance” night. While Carrie Ann noted that it’s “really difficult to dance in a mask,” Len Goodman told DiMarco, “You never cease to amaze me,” and called his routine “a great performance.” For the most part, though, DiMarco has been consistently one of the higher scoring contestants on “Dancing With The Stars.” Two weeks ago, during the “Switch Up,” in which he partnered with Sharna Burgess, DiMarco danced to a season high score of 37 out of 40 points.
Following his performance with Murgatroyd on on “Icons” night, Goodman said, “Others climb hills. You climb mountains,” referring to how difficult it must be for the deaf model to dance to music he cannot even hear. Bruno Tonioli expressed, “I love the dedication you had to the dance.” And Inaba felt “It was wonderful.”
For DiMarco and Murgatroyd’s “Icons” night performance, they received 28 out of 30 points. Once again there was controversy with the scoring. Tonioli lifted his paddle to reveal a 10, which would have given DiMarco a 29, but he wrote down a 9, which is why the score was one point lower.Check out the video below of Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd’s foxtrot to U2’s “Beautiful Day” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.”
