Norman Reedus was bit on his chest by a female fan of “The Walking Dead” at this weekend’s zombie-themed convention, Walker Stalker Con, in New Jersey.

The woman stood in line for a meet and greet with Reedus, and while she was getting her picture taken with the actor, she opened her mouth and sunk her teeth into his chest. Luckily, Reedus wasn’t injured during the assault as the bite didn’t break his skin. Still, police officers and event security immediately removed the woman from the building, and she has subsequently been banned from all future events where Reedus will be present.

The actor, however, declined to press charges against the fan, so it is unlikely she will be prosecuted. The woman later posted the photo she took with Reedus on Instagram, along with an apology note. She explained, “Finally meet the love of my life, and get banned from the rest of the CON and lose two more $100 photo ops with him because I lost my mind… got so excited standing beside him & just turned my head and bit him! I don’t know what came over me. It wasn’t my intention to hurt him. I’m sorry Norman!”

Interestingly, Reedus has his own well-known affinity for licking people, including strangers. He’s also discussed receiving some bizarre gifts from fans, including a breast implant and a taxidermy two-headed squirrel.
