Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln “More Than Friends” Claim NOT True
Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln are not “more than friends,” despite a ridiculously sensational report. Gossip Cop can expose the misleading story for what it really is: clickbait.
“More Than Friends? Andrew Lincoln & Norman Reedus Hold Hands At ‘Walking Dead’ Premiere,” reads an attention-grabbing headline on the Star website. The tabloid asks in the accompanying story, “Are Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus more than friends? The actors held hands October 23rd at the red carpet premiere of AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead.'”
Indeed, included is a paparazzi video from the event showing Lincoln posing for photographers. Part-way through the 62-second footage, Reedus approaches, and the photogs start urging them to stand together. So, showing their sense of humor, the two grab each other’s hands and Lincoln cracks up laughing.
It’s a light-hearted moment between two longtime pals and colleagues. But Star obviously decided to imply something else, despite having no other supporting evidence. And, notably, the outlet’s brief story fails to mention that Lincoln is married and has been for 10 years now. So, no, Reedus and Lincoln are not “more than friends.”
The publication merely wanted to raise the possibility just so readers would click onto its online article. And, by the way, the stars weren’t at the “red carpet premiere of ‘The Walking Dead,'” as erroneously claimed. They were actually attending a live taping of “Talking Dead” with the rest of the cast. But clearly accuracy is not a priority for Star.
