No Reality Check to Perez Piece about Rosie O’Donnell and Star Jones Teaming Up

“We guess their hate for Barbara exceeds the beef they had for each other,” writes journalism’s joker Perez Hilton, who goes on to report, ”We’re hearing from In Touch Weekly that Star Jones and Rosie O’Donnell are teaming up to do a reality show together. The duo have buried the hatchet in favor of bonding over their mutual dislike of Babs.”

Talk about a teaming – Perez Hilton and In Touch!

“Scoop” Hilton steps in it further and claims, “Sources are saying that they are getting ‘along quite well’ and that they’re (sic) created a rather unique and humorous bond.” According to an unnamed – and unreliable – source, “Everyone keeps telling [Rosie and Star] they need to capture it on camera and now they’ve decided to. They know people will tune in to see them.” The show, according to Hilton, combines “elements of “Oprah and Gayle King’s cross-country trip with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’s The Simple Life trek.”

The tale goes on, but Gossip Cop will stop it right here. A rep for O’Donnell calls the story “ridiculous,” laughed that it was “not true,” and noted that the talk show queen is only going to do a radio show – and not with Star Jones.

Plus, a source close to Jones told Gossip Cop that while she’s been offered a number of reality shows, she’s not interested in doing one.

Now wouldn’t it be great if Perez tried to just once team up the words “fact” and “checking?”
