No Presidential Role for Angelina Jolie

Will Angelina Jolie go from balancing a family of eight to balancing our nation’s budget? According to rumors, “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” are going to Washington. Yes, rumors from abroad—where they can’t even vote in our elections—have Jolie considering a bid for the presidency. The British tab Daily Express cites an unnamed source claiming Jolie has “said she’s now got her sights set on Washington.” The paper further quotes the supposed confidante of Jolie as saying, “She is passionate about people’s rights, war and justice and thinks she can get more hands-on and make even more of a difference by getting into politics.” The friend of Jolie and Brad Pitt adds, “I would place a huge wager on her becoming the first female president within the next 20 years. When Angelina sets her mind on something, she goes all out to do it.”

As much as GossipCop would find the U.N. Goodwill Ambassador an attractive candidate (actually, an attractive anything), don’t count on her following in the footsteps of actor-turned-president Ronald Reagan.
