No Doubt’s “Settle Down” Video Teaser

No Doubt has released a teaser for the music video for “Settle Down,” the first single off Push and Shove, the group’s first studio album in more than a decade.

The clip features Gwen Stefani and her bandmates hugging, dancing and playing amid colorful lights.

Both the single and full music video premiere on July 16.

On Friday, Lady Gaga tweeted, “Is anyone else freaking out about No Doubt putting out a new album. I can’t wait!”

    When did they start doing trailers for music videos? My next question would be why do they do trailers for music videos?

    Not that I don’t love No Doubt, and I’m super excited to hear the new stuff. The question was more of a general question that I meant to ask when that Bieber kid had a trailer for his video. I thought it might just be him because his fans are young and if they don’t see him every day they might forget who he is. Now bands that have been around for a decade are doing it, and I’m curious as to why. It’s not like it’s a feature film and they need to drive an audience to the theater.

    I guess with all the distractions around – compared to 10 years ago, this is the way to get a buzz going so people will be more anxious with anticipation. They’ll be coming up against a whole lot of crappy music, and presenting themselves to people who don’t know their music (much), so it will be interesting to see how they hold up.
