An In Touch item claims tennis superstar Serena Williams and boyfriend Common have broken up.

“They just grew apart,” explains a “friend” of the rapper-turned-actor.

The tabloid adds that Common was “acting single” on a recent Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Cruise while promoting his new movie, Just Wright.

Not surprisingly, site after site, including Access Hollywood and Us Weekly, picked up the rumor and repeated it.

But Gossip Cop has learned talk of the split is just a lot of racquet.

A source close to Common tells us the couple is “totally together.”
