There’s been a real-life dramatic turn for “Desperate Housewives.”
Nicollette Sheridan has sued series creator Marc Cherry, alleging he hit her head and face on the set of the ABC show.
The actress is suing for assault and battery, gender violence, and wrongful termination… to the tune of more than $20 million.
Sheridan’s lawsuit claims that after she asked Cherry on September 24, 2008, about a particular line in the script, he “took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head.”
When she rushed off to her trailer, say court papers, Cherry followed to “beg forgiveness.”
Sheridan’s lawsuit further alleges Cherry had long before been “behaving in an extremely abusive and aggressive manner toward the individuals who work on the show.”
The actress claims she reported the incident to ABC (also named in the lawsuit), and in retatiation her popular character, Edie Britt, was killed off.
