Nicole Scherzinger OUT at The X Factor

There’s now a second major departure from “The X Factor.”

Just hours after Steve Jones announced that he’ll not be returning as the singing competition’s host, it’s been confirmed that judge Nicole Scherzinger is leaving the show, too.

The former Pussycat Doll tweeted on Tuesday, “I wanted to let you know directly from me that it’s true I won’t be returning to The X Factor. Looking forward to an exciting year ahead and making great music and more! I’m grateful for the love you always give me.”

Replacements for Scherzinger and Jones have not been named.

The Scherzinger news was first reported by E!

She and Jones were originally slated to co-host on the show’s first season, but Scherzinger wound up replacing Cheryl Cole on the judge panel.

    I’m glad, maybe they could get someone who has more experience than her & who has talent. She can’t judge, I don’t even like her on The Sing Off.

    Oh, but keep LA Reid? Why don’t they make the show “X-Factor: Unless you have LA Reid as a judge, then you better hope you are a hip-hop/R&B artist or you have no hope”. If they don’t get rid of him, I will not be watching.

    nicole did what she could and i think rachel is not xfactor material. please!! dont blame it to the judges, america did the voting and i think melanie deserves it. if nicole is really leaving i hope they would find somebody as gorgeous as she.

    Nichole maybe talented but she doesn’t have the stomach or strength to judge a talent competetion. Paula is somewhat okay but I’m not impressed. L.A. Reid is obnoxious and VERY bias as to his “rappers and/or young R&B artists and cannot see beyond that. Since they seem to be cleaning house they need to extend it to L.A. and GET RID OF HIM too!!!

    I like Nicole’s signing but hated her as a judge. She just hated on almost every female, tried to fight with Aimon and cried the rest of the season. We already have Paula for all of that. They need to find a someone that’s there to judge and help these singers. I’m tired of all of the egos and crying. I liked LA and of course Simon is always great. Maybe because they didn’t cry the whole season.
