Nicole Richie “may not return” for the second season of NBC’s “Fashion Star” because she “can’t stand camera hog Jessica Simpson,” reports the National Enquirer.

Oh, no!

It’s time for another tabloid story about Richie and Simpson allegedly not getting along!

“Nicole doesn’t see how there’s room for both of them on the set,” a so-called “source” tells the Enquirer, adding, “Nicole is relatively demure and collected, while Jessica is so over the top she just sucks the air out of the room.”

And that’s not all that’s supposedly bugging Richie.

The mag’s source explains, “As the show progressed, Nicole saw herself becoming second banana to Jessica, and that’s not what she signed on for.”

Richie now allegedly “fears things will be even worse” when Simpson “starts ‘blabbing’ about her new daughter,” reports the Enquirer.

According to the “source,” mother-of-two “Nicole says Jessica acts like she’s the first woman to ever have a baby. She’d rather jump ship now than watch Jessica be Queen Bee next season.”

Uh-huh.

And when Richie does return to “Fashion Star,” the Enquirer will not only pretend this story never happened — it will also start a new round of “on-set feud” rumors.

In any case, this report is totally false.

A source close to Richie tells Gossip Cop it’s “not true” and that “they all get along very well.”

Meanwhile, a Simpson source found the whole story “hilarious.”

Unfortunately for the Enquirer, that’s a pretty typical reaction.

    I watched Fashion Star and I never saw Jessica being a camera hog. Where do these people get their info?

    I have never been a Jessica fan, but I thought she was great on that show. So was Nicole. They both came across as approachable, caring women who really were invested in helping the designers.

    Negative media is from Star & National Enquirer lately… timing is close. They are from the same company American Media, Inc. OK is in that company too. I would guess they are next with negativity. I would like to see AMI run out of business which is the reason this company had to take on Star, OK and National Enquirer. Those tabloids owned their single companies once. Who in the world would believe such trash tabloids.

    there have been confirmed blind items that Nicole does NOT like the other women on the show and is rude and dismissive of them. She totally dissed Lauren Conrad… Nicole is not the sweet thing she wants to be portrayed as.
