Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Are (Still) NOT Married

Even though Gossip Cop was the first to shoot down this false rumor, thanks to the Star’s completely fabricated cover “Nicole & Joel Married!” we have to do it again.
No, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are NOT married.
First Radar reported an inaccurate tip, then OK! picked it up and ran with it, and now the Star has added more fake details about how and when the couple secretly tied the knot.
When Richie’s former fiance Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein died, a “source” tells the tab, “she decided she didn’t want to spend another day not being Mrs. Joel Madden.” So according to the Star, Richie and Madden wed “in an intimate at-home ceremony” on October 14. The mag reports their ceremony was part of a mass wedding with 45,000 other people conducted by Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Unification Church. According to Star, as Rev. Moon spoke via computer stream, “Nicole and Joel’s officiant translated the blessing prayer into English and oversaw the exchange of rings and holy water.” Two days later, the couple supposedly shared the news with friends, with a “source” telling the weekly, “Nicole was just glowing.”
At the time when Gossip Cop first busted this bad rumor, an impeccable source swore Richie and Madden were 100 percent “not” married.
Well, Joel Madden himself has finally weighed in. On his band Good Charlotte‘s website he writes, “I keep getting emails from old friends and family asking about a wedding. NO we didn’t get married!”
