Nicolas Cage was arrested for domestic abuse this morning in New Orleans.

The actor was booked on one count of domestic abuse and one count of disturbing the peace.

The arrest took place around 6:30 a.m. after Cage, who was drunkenly arguing with his wife, taunted the police to arrest him.

Initially, officers responded to a complaint that Cage and his wife were yelling in the street. The police then told the couple to just go home, and that’s when Cage challenged the cops to arrest him, which they did.

A bond was set at $11,000, and Cage was later released.

  I never thought OJ Simpson would be indicted for murdering his wife either. I say indicted since technically he was found not guilty. I mean to say that verdict is controversial is a super understatement. The Gossip Cop report to me is quite vague. It sites one count of domestic abuse and public drunkenness. I got the impression the two were related. My problem is there was no detail on either count. I hope his wife is okay and he gets counseling.
