Despite Mariah Carey being known as difficult to work with, Nicki Minaj acted completely unprofessional and like a child here. Not that I was going to watch anyway, but this won’t help earning viewers.

How can anybody else have a turn to ‘judge anything,’ if one panelist screams louder than the rest? It becomes all about who has the loudest and most profane bellow rather than judging anything or anyone. Don’t dare disagree or you’ll be cussed out. I’m black and I agree with you 100%. American Idol is a show for all races and, to me, has always been well balanced. Nicki is acting trashy so she does not belong there. It is not about her race, it’s her attitude! She needs to go!

I am not a fan of either one in particular but this is probably only a partial of the entire dispute. Mariah I heard is very difficult to deal with also so we should not assume that this is all Nicki Minaj’s fault.

Why did they need 4 judges? It did not work in the past. I would have loved to have seen Nicki or Mariah separately but together, they knew this was going to happen. I have a feeling for the first few shows the ratings may be up but afterwards it will go down, they will not receive the numbers or ratings they have in the past.. Learn from the past, it is not about the judges, it is the contestants. I am skipping the auditions all together and just watch the show once they select the contestants going through, but if there is this constant in fighting diva against diva, forget it, there are enough Housewives of whatever city with their spats that we do not need to see it on American Idol.

The producers let this happen for ratings – they better undo it before someone gets seriously hurt!!

I will not watch American Idol this year. Fox has decided that making the judges more controversial is more important than the talent. Nicki Minaj is a mildly talented freakshow, Mariah Carey is an emotionally unstable, aging egomaniac, Keith Urban is a recovering addict desperately needing to boost his career and Randy Jackson just stayed for the money. The talent is now irrelevant. Move to cable and start cursing and fist fighting; it is the logical next step for this tabloid reality train wreck of a show.
