Nicki Minaj Tells Her Side of Mariah Carey Feud, Blasts Barbara Walters (VIDEO)

Nicki Minaj opened up about her feud with fellow “American Idol” judge Mariah Carey on part two of her E! special
“Nicki Minaj: My Truth” on Sunday.

The rapper weighed in on Carey telling Barbara Walters that Minaj was overheard saying on the show, “If I had a gun, I would shoot the b**ch.”

Minaj revealed, “I really felt good when I left [the set] yesterday, and then I hear that Mariah went to Barbara Walters with some more fabrication that even the [American Idol] producers had told her were never said.”

The “Starships” singer added that she’s too smart to make such a violent threat, and that she was “in shock” when she got wind of Carey’s statements.

Minaj went on to explain that she didn’t speak out about her and Carey’s on-set spat because she “wanted everything to blow over,” but then Carey began talking to outlets about the fight, giving the public a one-sided perception of what actually happened.

Addressing Walters, Minaj asks, “Am I not good enough for you to get my side [of the story]? Because I’m a little black girl that raps?”

“If I was J.Lo, you would have called J.Lo’s camp,” she said, adding, “Are we not good enough for you Barbara?”

“You don’t f**kin’ know me,” Minaj concludes.

She then goes on to discuss the Carey feud, explaining, “Why would I want to have a rift with someone that I’ve looked up to my whole life? Like I’ve loved her… and I even told her that.”

“I’m happy that Mariah’s on the panel,” she added, calling Carey “one of the best singers in the world.”

    To say what someone is after she JUST said people don’t know her shows the outlook of the world. I have listened to both artist music. One thing IS true. People automatically did side with Mariah cause of “her name” and didn’t hear her side. Because I know I sure never heard her side till now. ALL IN ALL. they were both in the wrong. Mariah should have not been such a diva as always by insulting nicki to piss her off an nicki should calmed down and acted more maturely about the matter. I have nothing against rap music or nicki at all. She always is very nice to her fans and is passionate about what he does so I have no reason to insult her looks or make an accusation about her just to be cruel. Barbara should have called her and got her side as well and people should let this whole thing go cause I really could care less cause the whole argument makes no sense either way. I think hiring Mariah is a mistake due to how much she is requesting to judge the show, and I think nicki would be better for show based on rap music. Because for her to be a judge on a show that isn’t about rap but singing doesn’t make sense to me. Clearly the show wares viewers from this generation from her fanbase cause I don’t see any other reason to have hire her. Keith urban was a great choice and of course randy is always good. I personally wish they hired a past host like Kelly clarkson, Carrie underwood, fantasia…. Or hell even beyonce anyone would be a smart choice. A past contestant can judge the contestants better and relate to them. Especially someone like Carrie who has extreme success after the show cause let’s face it we never hear about any of the winners after the show.
