WATCH: Nicki Minaj Releases “The Pinkprint Movie” 16-Minute Music Video
Nicki Minaj has released an epic, 16-minute short film called “The Pinkprint Movie.” The stylish, extended music video tells the story of an unraveling relationship. It’s divided into three chapters, each named for a track off Minaj’s new album The Pinkprint: “The Crying Game,” “I Lied” and “Grand Piano.” Watch the full YouTube clip below.
In the dramatic video, Minaj is seen fighting with and crying over an on-screen boyfriend, cycling through the emotions associated with breakups and heartbreak. It’s definitely a more sober video than many of Minaj’s colorful, comical clips in the past. It’s definitely worth seeing.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Minaj is currently single, despite rumors linking her to everyone from Pauly D to Meek Mill. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the rapper says she’s “really, really happy” right now. “I realize why I had so much of an emotional year… I was writing my album, and I think I needed to grow as a human being. And now because of it, I just feel better. I feel more peaceful. I feel like I’ve gotten rid of things that were not healthy for me.” Check out “The Pinkprint Movie” below, and tell us what you think.
