LISTEN: Nicki Minaj Debuts “Only,” Tells Us Which Rappers She “Never F*cked”
Nicki Minaj has released “Only,” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. The track mostly concerns how Minaj has not had sex with her collaborators. Minaj sings, “Yo, I never f****d Wayne, I never f****d Drake. On my life, man, f*ck’s sake.” Then Drake sings, “I never f****d Nicki cause she got a man. But when that’s over then I’m first in line.” And Lil Wayne adds, “I never f****d Nicki, and that’s f****d up. If I did f**k, she’d be f****d up.” OK, we get the picture.
In addition to the explicit and educational nature of the song, Gossip Cop has been tipped off that the lyric video will be even more controversial because it contains Nazi-esque imagery. A source tells us the black-and-white video is evocative of Nazi-era propaganda films, with soldiers wearing red arm bands that look similar to those worn by SS officers. There are also several gas masks, tanks, and explosions in the video, as well as shots of Minaj in front of what resembles the Bradenburg Gate, which was often appropriated by the Nazis as a symbol of power. But among the most disturbing images, Gossip Cop is told, are the large flags draped in the background that use the record label’s letters, Y and M (for Young Money), and interlock them to look like swastikas.
