Nick Viall, Vanessa Grimaldi Compared To Donald Trump, Melania On “The View”
Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi’s apparent lack of chemistry was compared to Donald and Melania Trump on Tuesday’s “The View.” Watch below.
As Gossip Cop reported, Viall and Grimaldi became engaged on “The Bachelor” season finale on Monday. But on “After The Final Rose,” the couple didn’t seem to be in love or even all that interested in each other. In fact, the ABC talk show showed screengrabs from the special to highlight their awkward body language.
“It’s chilly,” observed Jedediah Bila. Paula Faris said, “You don’t have to be all over one another to establish chemistry but… she does not look happy.” She went on to read tweets from former “Bachelorette” Trista Ryan and former “Bachelor” Sean Lowe, who both doubted Viall and Grimaldi’s relationship. Sunny Hostin agreed, “There is something to that body language, though. You know when people are in love.”
But the conversation took a turn when Joy Behar announced, “It reminds me of this other couple.” She then played the infamous viral clip of Melania dropping her smile as soon as the president turned his back on Inauguration Day. The First Couple has been accused of not having chemistry, much like the new “Bachelor” pair.
“She may not be a generous smiler,” Sara Haines said of Melania. “I am playing the devil’s advocate.” That led to a debate about “resting bitch face,” and Bila said of the Trumps, “There are people who believe they’re truly in love.” But, insisted Behar, “Just compare them to the Obamas, who really looked like they really loved each other. I don’t buy these two.”
