Reports Wrong That Nick Lachey Has “Signed” Reality Show Deal with VH1

“EXCLUSIVE! Nick Lachey Is Coming Back To Reality TV — He’s Filming A New Show For VH1!” reads a headline from HollywoodLife, which also inaccurately claimed in an “exclusive” that Kim Kardashian was going to have her own dating show.
A so-called “source close to the singer” tells the site, “Nick has signed on to do a reality show set to air on VH1.”
The proposed series would be about Lachey’s life and music career.
Naturally, this speculative story was picked up by Perez Hilton.
Some time ago, Gossip Cop debunked a story that claimed Lachey was pitching a reality show that focused on him and longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo having a baby.
Well, here’s what Gossip Cop found out now.
While it’s true Lachey has been pitching a new reality show, contrary to what HollywoodLife reported, he has NOT signed a deal with VH1.
A source close to Lachey tells Gossip Cop that reports of a done deal are “not true” and “wrong.” And VH1 insiders say there have been “conversations” with the former 98 Degrees singer, but “no offer or deal is in place.”
Should Lachey strike a deal, Gossip Cop will give you the correct dish.
