Us Weekly may have jumped the gun with its piece “Nick & Vanessa Back On!” But the weekly is not entirely off.

As reported by the magazine, Lachey and Minnillo hung out last week at an L.A. bar, where they were spotted being somewhat affectionate. A spywitness said, “There was lip-to-lip contact, small kisses.” But before you start buying stuff off a registry, a source close to Minnillo tells Gossip Cop, “They are still apart.” But is there a chance they could rekindle? The source said, “Maybe.”

The source explains, “They ended things amicably. They still speak to each and hang out,” but confirmed that they are currently “not back together.”
