Nick Jonas ‘Chainsaw’ Video – WATCH!
Nick Jonas released the music video for “Chainsaw,” the latest single from his new album, Last Year Was Complicated, on Friday. Watch below!
Jonas teased the new clip on social media on Thursday, giving his fans a sneak peak of the powerful video. “I’ll burn everything that binds us/Take a lighter to the mattress you’re on/We were building brick by brick/Now it’s just a quicksand home/Yeah I’ll take a chainsaw to the sofa?Where I held your body close for so long, so long,” he sings. In the video, the star is seen getting very intimate with model Sara Sampaio as he belts out the track in front of a burning lake.
The singer previously opened up about the song during his recent Reddit AMA. “I think the song ‘Chainsaw,’ people will see is incredibly vulnerable and personal,” he shared. “It’s about walking back to the house you shared a lot of memories in with somebody. All the feelings that come with that, and kind of working through some of it, and I think that everyone has something in their life that they need to let go of. ‘Chainsaw’ represents that way of letting go. And it’s actually been helpful for me, and hopefully will be helpful for other people.”
In March, Jonas debuted “Close,” featuring Tove Lo, as his first single off his forthcoming album. Additionally, he also released “Champagne Problems” in April as a promotional single. The singer’s new record will drop in full on June 10. Check out the music video for his latest single “Chainsaw” below.
