Nick Fradiani “What Hurts The Most” American Idol Video: Singer Is “Star Of The Night,” “Peaking” At Right Time — WATCH!
Nick Fradiani was the “star of the night” on Wednesday’s “American Idol,” after performances of “What Hurts The Most” and “Bright Lights” had the judges heaping praise on him. Watch below!
Fradiani has very much been the dark horse of season 14, steadily improving every week. The panel commended him last week for continually seizing their advice, and it paid off in a huge way tonight after the contestant found out he received enough votes to make the Top 4. Following his first round performance of Matchbox Twenty’s “Bright Lights,” Jennifer Lopez even said Fradiani was “peaking” at the exact right time in the competition.
And after Fradiani closed the show with “What Hurts The Most,” Lopez told him, “To me, tonight, you’re the star of the night.” Harry Connick Jr. commented, “I can really hear you singing that on your CD, man. That sounded great… I thought you killed it.” And Keith Urban said to the aspiring star, “I got a feeling that your fans are going to show you support in a huge way when that recorded version of that rocks up the iTunes chart.”
Plus, in amazing twist of fate, Fradiani chose “What Hurts The Most” to perform BEFORE he found out that one of the Rascal Flatts members, Jay Demarcus, would be the one mentoring him. Watch both performances below, and tell us what you think!
