Nick Fradiani “Beautiful Life” American Idol Finale Video: Watch Performances!
Nick Fradiani gave a powerful performance of the brand-new anthem “Beautiful Life” on Tuesday’s “American Idol,” the first part of the season 14 season finale. Check out the videos below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Fradiani found out he was one of the two 2015 finalists at the start of the episode, before performing in three rounds of competition. The final showdown began with Favorite Performances, for which the dark horse contender chose “Bright Lights.” Jennifer Lopez could barely speak over the audience’s cheers, telling Fradiani, “They like you, Nick! They like you!” She went on to say that the finalist has everything that “Idol” is about, but even when pressured, wouldn’t say he won the round over Clark Beckham.
The second round was Simon Fuller’s Choice, in which the executive producer selected Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up.” Fradiani opted to play the piano, something we hadn’t really seen from him before, which Keith Urban called “incredible.” Harry Connick Jr. also deemed it a “very emotional, heartfelt” performance, and said he thought Fradiani won that face-off.
In the third and final round, Fradiani premiered “Beautiful Life,” his would-be “winner’s single,” if he wins “Idol” tomorrow. Connick said he “really enjoyed it,” and said the contestant got “lucky” because the song sounded “tailor-made” for him. Lopez said it “felt amazing” to see Fradiani in the “moment,” and Urban noted, “That’s the kind of song people go and out buy.” He added that the aspiring star hit the “bullseye.”
