Nick Carter Scores Big With Backstreet Boys Hit On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (VIDEO)
Nick Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess impressed the judges and audience alike with their jazz routine to the Backstreet Boys’ song “Backstreet’s Back” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” Watch the video below.
For Monday’s “Most Memorable Year” night, Carter chose the year 1992 because, as he said, that was the year he met the guys from the Backstreet Boys, and it changed his entire life. Carter further noted that he came from a very dysfunctional family, and was glad to have joined the other guys. A.J. McLean noted in the taped package that most of the other people Carter grew up with are today “dead or in jail,” and his life was essentially saved by being in the Backstreet Boys.
Not only was Carter’s story compelling, but so too was his dancing. Carrie Ann Inaba told Carter’s partner Shana Burgess that every young girl who grew up with the Backstreet Boys “wants to be you right now.” Inaba further said to Carter, “You were really good when you were in the Backstreet Boys, but you are far superior now.” Julianne Hough simply held up a card that read, “I [heart] Nick!” before adding his performance was “hot, hot, hot.” And Bruno Tonioli said that like the Backboy Boys’ music, his dance routine was a “mega hit.”
So, how did Carter and Burgess do this fourth week? They received a score of 27 out of 30 from the judges, a 9 from each judge. Check out the video below of Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess on “Most Memorable Year” night of “Dancing With The Stars,” and tell us what you think!
