Nick Carter Breaks Silence On Arrest, Asks Fans To “Stay By My Side”
Nick Carter is breaking his silence on his arrest for battery.
As Gossip Cop reported, the Backstreet Boys member was arrested in Key West, Florida 10 days ago after allegedly getting into a bar fight at the Hog’s Breath Saloon. According to a police report, the singer and friend Michael Rae Papayans showed up to the establishment drunk, and a dispute erupted when the bartender refused to serve them and requested they leave. Papayans allegedly head-butted the bar’s manager, while Carter is accused of attempting to choke the bouncer.
Carter was ultimately taken into custody, and later released after posting $1,500 for bail. He’s now facing a misdemeanor battery charge. The arrest was his third, following a DUI bust in 2005 and a nightclub incident in 2002.
On Saturday, Carter tweeted for the first time since the altercation. “I am human and at times it can be a struggle to balance a healthy lifestyle. I’m not perfect and for that I am sorry,” he wrote to fans. “When we fall we have to get up and keep on walking. I hope you stay by my side and continue to walk with me.”
As Gossip Cop has reported, Carter is currently expecting his first child, a boy, with wife Lauren Kitt. Gossip Cop will have updates.
