NEWS: ABC cancels another Adam Lambert appearance

Let’s just call ABC the “Adam Banned Channel,” because for the second and possibly third time since Adam Lambert’s controversial performance on the American Music Awards, the network has canceled an appearance.

Lambert was confirmed to be on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on December 17, and was a possible performer for ABC’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” but last night the “American Idol” singer wrote on Twitter, “Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE. : (  don’t blame them. It’s the FCC heat.” He then noted, “I AM doing Leno though. And lookin into something for NYE,” and that “It’ll all blow over. Let’s focus on being positive! : )”

The uproar, of course, all stems from his performance at the AMAs, where, while singing “For Your Entertainment,” Lambert kissed another male musician and there was simulated oral sex.

    Are you kidding me????? This is ridiculous!! I’m sooooo close to stopping watching anything on ABC. And sadly, some of my favorite shows are on that netwok. I’ll miss my girls from The View. All the wednesday night line up. What a sad sad netwok!!! I was just beginning to respect them again.

    I have never seen such a campaign of hate like the one ABC is having towards Adam Lambert. Have they looked at any of their own daytime soap operas. They are filled with alot more sexual stuff then what Adam did on the AMA’s . How about all the violence that is acceptable to them not to mention an interview with Chris Brown. Then you also can’t tell me that they didn’t have a delay button on the AMA’s since they were blocking out alot of Eminem’s lyrics on the east coast edition. So why didn’t they block out the incidents of Adams performance that so offended them during the broadcast. It’s nothing but a bunch of bull as far as I’m concerned and I’m also considering not watching ABC anymore.

    It is true hypocrisy!!!! It’s unfortunate, really….this could’ve been ABC’s best year. Once, again…I’ll miss you ladies from The View. Shame on you ABC! And, thanks for recognizing Spinilli
