New York Mayor Singing I Love LA

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio sang “I Love L.A.” on Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” after losing a well-publicized bet on the Stanley Cup to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garrett. See the video below.

Had the Kings lost, Garcetti would have had to sing “New York, New York,” but since the Rangers came up short, it was up to de Blasio to showcase his vocal work. Wearing a “I [Heart] L.A.” T-shirt, and accompanied by New York’s 52nd Street Project chorus — a group of students between the ages of nine and 18 — de Blasio sang the ode to Los Angeles. The New York mayor also treated Kimmel’s audience to hot dogs from New York’s famed Gray’s Papaya.
