New National Enquirer Britney Spears “Psych Ward” Rumors Just Awful

The National Enquirer really stoops this week (not for the first time) with an ugly article claiming Britney Spears is “crazy” and on the path to a psychiatric ward.
According to the tabloid’s so-called “sources,” the “deeply troubled” singer has engaged in a “frightening display of tantrums and cries for help,” leading father Jamie Spears to warn that her outbursts could lead him to have her committed.
The Enquirer claims a “seriously depressed” Spears is furious with her father’s decision to retain the legal conservatorship he holds over her, and that her anger “boiled over” in a huge fight in which the pop icon allegedly screamed that she “didn’t know what she would do to herself if she had to continue to be a prisoner.”
An “insider” alleges her dad responded by threatening that Spears would “find herself back in a psych ward” if she was thinking of hurting herself.
The National Enquirer has been wrong about Spears so often, we’ve lost count.
Thankfully, the weekly is no more accurate here.
A source close to Spears assured Gossip Cop the Enquirer piece is “untrue.”
