‘Hop’ Bounces to Top of the Box Office

Russell Brand‘s funny bunny has won the box office.
Hop, the animated/live action Easter family film featuring Brand’s voice, took in $38.1 million in its first weekend.
Another new release, Source Code starring Jake Gyllenhaal, came in second with $14.8 million.
The low-budget horror thriller Insidious nabbed third place with $13.5 million.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules and Limitless finished in fourth and fifth places with $10.2 million and $9.4 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top Ten were The Lincoln Lawyer ($7.1 million), Sucker Punch ($6.2 million), Rango ($5 million), Paul ($4.4 million) and Battle: Los Angeles ($3.5 million).
