Neil Patrick Harris has confirmed that he and partner David Burtka will soon be the parents of twins.

“So, get this: David and I are expecting twins this fall,” tweeted the actor.

“We’re super excited/nervous/thrilled. Hoping the press can respect our privacy…”

The latest happy news for Harris comes after his directorial debut with Rent last weekend and two weeks before the Emmy Awards, which he’ll attend with three nominations.

He and Burtka, an actor and chef, have been together for several years.
