Neil Patrick Harris’ Tonys Opening – “It’s Not Just For Gays Anymore!”

Neil Patrick Harris kicked off the 2011 Tony Awards with a clever song-and-dance performance called “It’s Not Just For Gays Anymore!” in which the night’s host humorously explained how Broadway is for everyone.

Stephen Colbert and Brooke Shields were among the “straight” entertainers who lent their talents (and in Shields’ case, dubious improv skills) to the performance, and Harris also personally acknowledged many of the celebrity heterosexuals in attendance.

    I love Neil and his sense of humor. That was a great number and the ending rap sumorizing the entire show was “FABULOUS!!!”. Also the number with Hugh Jackman.

    I think Neil needs to be named as the permanent host for the Tonys. And maybe all the other award shows.
