NBA Stars Read “Mean Tweets” For Jimmy Kimmel Live “Game Night” 2015 (VIDEO)
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” kicked off its 2015 “Game Night” editions on Thursday with a new NBA-themed installment of “Mean Tweets.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Kimmel often airs special 8 p.m. episodes on the nights of the NBA Finals, which begin tonight with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors in Oakland. For the special show, Kimmel rounded up NBA superstars past and present for a brand-new “Mean Tweets.” As previously reported, the recurring Kimmel bit features celebrities reading the awful, and often hilarious, things the public has written about them on Twitter.
Participants for this batch included basketball veterans and rising stars, such as Magic Johnson, Reggie Miller, Tony Parker, Steph Curry, DeAndre Jordan, Jeremy Lin, Draymond Green, Blake Griffin, Mark Jackson, Jalen Rose, Jimmy Butler, and many more. Curry, the star player for the Warriors, read, “Imagine the damage Steph Curry would be doing in the NBA if didn’t have such a girly name.” The tweet included the hashtag, “#changeittosteve.”
Parker’s mean tweet said, “People say LeBron flops, have you ever seen this little French woman named Tony Parker.” And for Johnson, the insult was, “I’m convinced Magic Johnson has approximately 73 teeth in his mouth.” There were also amusing references to Lindsay Lohan and Shrek, and a number of expletives.
This marked the third time Kimmel has done an NBA-focused “Mean Tweets.” As Gossip Cop reported, the last one aired in January 2014 with Rose, Jordan, Lin, Amar’e Stoudemire, Paul George, Chris Paul, and DeMarcus Cousins among the players reading disses.
