Nastia Liukin Nabs Highest Score With Subway Ride-Themed Dance On Dancing With The Stars (VIDEO)
Nastia Liukin and her partner Sasha Farber scored the highest on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars,” after performing a subway ride-themed modern Charleston to “Honey I’m Good” by Andy Grammer during “Eras Night.” Watch the video below.
As Gossip Cop reported, Liukin’s original partner, Derek Hough, had to sit out the routine after he injured both his feet last week. Hough did make a cameo in Liukin and Farber’s dance routine by performing his moves while seated in a chair.
Julianne Hough told Farber he did an “amazing” job standing in for her brother Derek, and praised Liukin for having “quite the season.” She added, “You guys killed it!” Carrie Ann Inaba told Liukin she was “proud” of her, and said she thought the performance was “insane.” Bruno Tonioli told the pair, “That was the best subway ride I have ever taken, and you will never get a better ride than that.” And Len Goodman simply gave a thumbs up sign because the judges had ran out of time.
So how did the pair do? Liukin and Hough received a score of 38 out of 40 from the judges. As Gossip Cop reported, last week Liukin tied for second place with Willow Shields and her partner Mark Ballas, after receiving a score of 34.
