Nancy O’Dell’s Donald Trump Statement: “I’m Saddened” By Conversation
Nancy O’Dell is breaking her silence on the video of Donald Trump crudely talking about wanting to have sex with her. See statement below.
As Gossip Cop reported, decade-old footage emerged on Friday of Trump, wired for an “Access Hollywood” interview, telling Billy Bush how he wanted to “f*ck” an unnamed married woman. “Access Hollywood” later confirmed the woman to be O’Dell, who worked for the program at the time. She is now with “Entertainment Tonight,” which on Saturday released a statement on her behalf. She says:
“Politics aside, I’m saddened that these comments still exist in our society at all. When I heard the comments yesterday, it was disappointing to hear such objectification of women. The conversation needs to change because no female, no person, should be the subject of such crass comments, whether or not cameras are rolling. Everyone deserves respect no matter the setting or gender. As a woman who has worked very hard to establish her career, and as a mom, I feel I must speak out with the hope that as a society we will always strive to be better.”
O’Dell, who did not specifically mention Trump in her remarks, is not expected to comment further at this time. Bush issued an apology statement of his own on Friday, as did Trump, who later also released a video apology. On Saturday, he rejected calls to drop out of the presidential election.
