A Colombian cycling team is generating controversy with riding outfits meant to make the cyclists look naked.

The women of the IDRD-Bogatá Humana-San Mateo-Solgar squad turned heads at a recent race in Italy by showing up in the provocative uniforms that don’t actually show anything — but use a flesh-colored midsection to give the appearance of showing nudity.

One of the team members, Angie Tatiana Rojas Suarez, reportedly designed the creative outfit.

But not everyone is so happy about it.

Brian Cookson, president of the International Cycling Union, tweeted, “To the many who have raised the issue of a certain women’s team kit, we are on the case. It is unacceptable by any standard of decency.”

Gold medalist Nicole Cooke posted images of the Colombian team and wrote, “This has turned the sport into a joke. Girls stand up for yourselves – say no.”
