MTV not spinning off “Jersey Shore” in Boston

“A show by any other name is still effing The Real World! Stop moving around, MTV! It’s getting kitschy!” begins a post by Perez Hilton about a supposed “Jersey Shore” spin-off.
The facts-challenged blogger explains, “MTV is currently casting Wicked Summer, a show just like the Jersey Shore, but set in Boston… Same shiz, different accent.”
Different accents indeed, but it is not the same, um, shiz.
MTV is not “casting Wicked Summer.”
Actually, “Wicked Summer” has the same casting director as “Jersey Shore,” but it is not an MTV show or a spin-off for that matter.
Ah, Perez Hilton – different day, same inaccurate shiz.
