I was seriously disappointed that Eclipse won Best movie. I used to be a diehard Twihard (lol it rhymes), but even I knew it didn’t deserve all those awards. HP should’ve won Best Movie and it’s a shame it didn’t get it. The only reason Eclipse won was because it’s got the most psychotic fans in the world. The movies aren’t even that good… Okay, I’m done ranting now.

hey the movies are good and u kw that making a book into a movie is not a easy thing cuz look at HP it took 7 books for him fighting one dude and why are stereotyping all the peoples who are twihard cuz im also one and im not psychotic and wht abt the HP fans their probably psychotic ones too so stop hating on it

    1. I actually defend Twilight 9 times out of 10. But not this time. And I’m not hating, I’m stating something that’s pretty much a fact. Eclipse didn’t deserve all those awards, and a lot more people would agree with me than disagree.
    2. I wasn’t saying ALL the fans are psycho. I was a Twilight fan as well, and I was (and still am) perfectly normal. You however, don’t seem to be as “not psychotic” as you say you are, because you’re grilling me over something stupid. I’d bet anything that you’re the type of Twilight fan that is the reason HP fans hate Twilight so much.
    3. I didn’t say the movies weren’t good; I said they weren’t THAT good. I enjoyed them, but they could’ve been a lot better. HP, even after having read the books several times, kept me on my toes. Twilight did not do that. At all. And really, it’s not even my place to say that HP deserved those awards, because I didn’t even see most of the movies that were nominated. Maybe Inception deserved it, or some other movie. I don’t know. All I know is that out of the movies I DID see, HP deserved it over Eclipse.
Just wanted to clear all that up for ya. And for the record, I’ve met a lot more crazy Twilight fans than I have crazy HP fans.

The Twilight books (and movies) are not even comparable to the Harry Potter ones period. I’ve read all of the Twilight books and they were okay, they kept me interested for the most part but Stephenie Meyer doesn’t touch JK Rowling. She isn’t as creative and her imagination isn’t all that great. The only reason people obsess over the books are because it’s a fantasy that girls wish would happen to them and the movies get so much attention because the actors are good looking, it’s all superficial. On the other hand, the Harry Potter series is much more substantial. The world Rowling created is much more intricate and the books are just plain better, as are the movies. So there isn’t really a hot boy to swoon over, who cares, they’re still better. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, this is just mine. (Let the bashing from crazy Twilight fans begin….)

I agree with Bop. I love Twilight, but they are what they are. They aren’t “instant classics”. They are popular because every girl dreams of a perfect guy who is madly in love with her. And he glitters in the sun, how cool is that? It isn’t exactly a “new” idea, the whole “trying to be a good vampire” idea. I give her props, she made a great series that is easy to read over and over again. But JK Rowling created an entire world within our world, filled with magic. she created schools, towns, sports, potions, I mean, THAT is some creative writing. Movie wise, Twilight movies are pretty good, I mean, I have seen them tons of times, but again, they are what they are, even the actors themselves say so. I think Breaking Dawn may be the best movie, because book wise, it had the best material. But lets be real here. Harry Potter blows them out of the water, just in effects alone. The story is more riveting, and although “yes he is chasing one guy for seven books” it isn’t like he is following some dude down the street. The story stretches as long as it does because Harry has to grow in order to face Voldemort. Comparing the movies and books of Twi and HP is kind of pointless. They are not in the same category in any way except young adult fiction. And I am a huge fan of both franchises and love all the actors, but if we are being honest, Twilight has some weird ass fans who creep everyone out. That doesn’t mean all fans of Twilight are like that, but they have more than the average amount of nutjobs.

Come one people. yeah, of course the twilight movies aren’t the best movies that were nominated, and nor were the HP movies but seriously(they were up against Oscar winning movies…), the MTV Movie Awards has absolutely NOTHING to do with how great/good a movie/actor/scene is. It’s a popularity contest, not a what is better contest.

I love Twilight, I love Harry Potter, I agree that HP deserved some more awards but honestly, those awards don’t even matter. The MMA’s are just supposed to be a fun show to watch. It’s a popularity contest and this has just proven that Twilight is STILL super popular
