MTV Video Music Awards Taping Live Stream

The 2016 MTV Movie Awards is taking place on the Warner Bros. studio lot on Saturday. Check out the live stream below!

The ceremony, which is celebrating its 25th year, won’t air on MTV until Sunday night. But the network is offering fans a chance to watch some of the action go down live tonight. As MTV is putting it, “viewers can virtually crash” the red carpet “in real time” with its “uncensored, fly-on-the-wall feed of all the red carpet hijinks and celebrity fashions.”

But that’s not all. After showcasing the arrivals, the online stream will have unique coverage of the awards show itself. MTV promises the feed will “offer up an inside look at the super-secret show taping with a genius ‘reverse’ camera trained on the celebrity attendees as they take in the nighttime spectacle of the show.” Yep, for the first time, the MTV Movie Awards is being held outside.

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart will preside over the festivities as co-hosts. As Gossip Cop reported, they were announced as this year’s emcees back in February. They went on to participate in what was called a “live promo shoot,” in which they answered fan questions and engaged in stunts during an online streaming session.

Clearly, viewer interaction is a big theme of this year’s event, and there will be more ways for fans to get involved with Sunday’s broadcast, too. But first the excitement will begin tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern. Watch the live stream below!
