WATCH: Ashton Kutcher And Mila Kunis Star With Rihanna In Fake Movie Trailer
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis star in a trailer for a fake movie called MoonQuake Lake. Joined by Rihanna, the preview for the made-up film is actually featured in the new movie Annie. Check out the video below!
The plot of the faux film is a little hard to figure out, but it seems to have something to do with Kunis’ character being the property of the moon, forcing her to leave behind her love interest, portrayed by Kutcher. Rihanna appears to play a scary-looking nemesis, and Kutcher spouts gems like, “Things happen for a reason.” Kutcher and Kunis also kiss a lot.
Director Phil Lord tweeted Saturday, “Proud to unveil our next project… Catch a sneak peek when you see #AnnieMovie in theaters December 19th.” Co-filmmaker Chris Miller, who has worked with Lord on The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street among other big movies, wrote on his own Twitter page, “It’s not hyperbole to say the most important cinematic event of the millennium will have a sneak peek in #AnnieMovie.” Both linked to moonquakelake.com, which takes people to a Sony Pictures’ page for MoonLake Quake, that notes, if you look closely, the movie stars “Andrea Alvin” and “Simon Goodspeed.”
Some people, though, apparently fooled by the pretend movie, have taken to YouTube to express outrage that such a bad film got made. Of course, it’s supposed to be bad. Moviegoers will get to see a bit of MoonLake Quake on the big screen when Annie hits theaters on Friday. Watch the trailer below!
