Montel Williams: There’s Something “Very Sinister” About The Duggars
Montel Williams is ripping the Duggars again after Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar sat down for an interview with Megan Kelly on Wednesday’s “Kelly Files” to discuss their son Josh Duggar molesting five minor girls, including two of their daughters, Jill and Jessa. “After watching the Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar interview, I’m just stunned. They are in denial,” began Williams in a Facebook post on Wednesday. “There is something very sinister beneath the surface.” See Williams’ fullest below.
As Gossip Cop reported, the “19 Kids And Counting” patriarch explained, at one point, to Kelly that they believed Josh’s police records about the molestation had been sealed from the public. Jim Bob also said he and his wife thought Josh was “on the road to mend,” but the molestation continued. “He wasn’t an adult,” explained Jim Bob, adding, “This was not rape. This was touching people over their clothes. There were some instances of touching under the clothes, but it was a few seconds.”
Williams clearly took issue with Jim Bob and Michelle’s take on the situation, writing, “These are people who seemingly minimize what happened in their home and essentially sent a message to their daughters to smile, nod and forgive.” He continued, “Nothing about these people is real. Nothing about these people isn’t hypocritical.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Williams slammed Josh in May when the reality star issued an apology for molesting minor girls. After pointing out that the Duggars often protest against groups such as the LGBT community, Williams said Josh and the entire family are hypocrites and “bigot[s].” Do you agree with Montel Williams’ Facebook post about the Duggar family?

After watching the Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar interview, I’m just stunned. They are in denial. Do I feel for their predicament as parents, of course, do I feel for their daughters of course, I am the father of 3 daughters.
There is something very sinister beneath the surface – these are people who basically said they thought they could be as preachy as they wanted because the records were sealed, these are people who seemingly minimize what happened in their home and essentially sent a message to their daughters to smile, nod and forgive. It’s eerily reminiscent of the “keep sweet” mantra in Warren Jeffs’ FLDS.
Nothing about these people is real. Nothing about these people isn’t hypocritical.
They are in the predicament they are in because a) they attempted to sweep it under the rug, and b) they chose to preach holier than thou against everyone from #lbgt to people that allow their kids to date.
I don’t get these people. I pray for them, but I’ll never get how they seemingly don’t get what was going on around them?
Oh, and then they pull the reverse of Hillary’s famous vast right wing conspiracy line? Give me a break.
