Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation FULL TRAILER: Tom Cruise Battles “Anti-IMF”
The FULL trailer for Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation debuted on Monday, one day after the first teaser was released. Check out the video below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt for the fifth film in the action franchise, and joined again by Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg. The movie begins with Impossible Mission Force disbanded by the chief of the CIA (played by Alec Baldwin), but Hunt and his team get back together to battle the Syndicate, a so-called “rogue nation” made up of assassins that is the “anti-IMF.” Sean Harris portrays the key villain, with Rebecca Ferguson coming on board as a new ally.
Christopher McQuarrie is at the helm of the new installment, and he has high expectations to meet after the last movie, Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol, featured Cruise climbing Dubai’s Burj Khalifa skyscraper. “We knew anything we did was going to be compared with the Burj. But it’s not like you could wait for someone to build an even taller building. We keep pushing the envelope,” the director tells USA Today.
Indeed, as Gossip Cop reported, the new movie features Cruise hanging on to an Airbus A400 as it takes off, a two-day stunt that Cruise calls “exciting.” Still, he acknowledges to USA Today, “I was pretty exhausted, but there’s always more work to be done on a Mission movie. It always seems like there’s not enough hours in the day making them.”
Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation hits theaters on July 31. Check out the full trailer below, and tell us what you think!
