Miss USA Rima Fakih Arrested in Michigan for Drunk Driving

Former Miss USA Rima Fakih was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Saturday morning in Highland Park, Michigan, her lawyer confirms.

Doraid Elder says the beauty queen is “very saddened and very apologetic for the situation that she is in right now.”

While the police have yet to publicly comment on Fakih’s arrest, sources say her blood alcohol level was a .20, which is more than twice the legal limit.

Fakih spent the majority of Saturday behind bars.

Her lawyer acknowledges the alleged drunk driving was “poor judgment” on her part, and feels, “This shouldn’t be something that defines who she is.”
