Miss Baton Rouge Megan Miller made a big impression on the “American Idol” judges on Thursday’s show — and not just because she hobbled in on crutches.

The 22-year-old was in an accident just three days before, and actually left the hospital to make it her audition before having to return right after for surgery.

And that proved to be a worthwhile choice after Miller wowed with “Something’s Got A Hold On Me.”

Randy Jackson called her “a natural,” while Nicki Minaj went even further, labeling the beauty pageant winner an “undeniable superstar.”

“What I want to commend you on is not making an excuse [with the injury],” said the rapper. “You used it and it didn’t use you.”

Added Keith Urban, “You came in and just went at it,” going on to joke, ”I wish you moved around a bit more.”

And Mariah Carey pointed out, “And there’s a quality that you have that’s just sweet and nice yet funny and talented.”

    Megan was the most impressive female to audition so far in my opinion and she had the confidence and style that should make her a great finalist on the show. If we see anyone else better, I can’t imagine the superstar talent that will be on the radio next year. I’m just glad I didn’t miss this episode because there was so much talent from Baton Rouge. Sometimes in the past I would forgot to set my timer but now, my DISH Hopper automatically records the shows for me on the four major networks during primetime using PrimeTime Anytime, so I don’t have to miss Idol. I watched Idol live this time on my lunch break while at work at DISH since I had to work late, but I get awfully upset if I can’t see it at all. The other nice thing is that after 8 days, my Hopper automatically deletes the recordings too so I don’t have to worry about the feature filling up my hard drive space.
