Miranda Lambert “Shock” Over Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Wedding Made Up
As Gossip Cop reported, on Wednesday morning, OK! falsely alleged Shelton and Stefani had secretly married in March. Within hours of the cover story hitting newsstands, we exclusively debunked the allegations with comments from both of their reps. But even though the marriage claim was proven untrue, HollywoodLife still saw fit to run not one, but two posts picking up the false story after the debunking.
With an apparent disregard for accuracy, the webloid first regurgitated the fake details about how Shelton and Stefani supposedly had their nuptials at his Oklahoma ranch earlier this year. And if that wasn’t bad enough, on Wednesday night, hours after the bust, the site then spewed additional misinformation about Lambert’s alleged reaction to her ex re-marrying. “Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani: How Miranda Lambert Faced The Shock Of Their Secret Wedding,” said the site’s headline.
The bad blog wrote in its accompanying article, “An insider spilled the beans on Miranda’s exact response to Blake’s secret wedding, and her reaction may surprise you!” Noting Lambert “apparently heard about the wedding from a mutual friend,” the outlet quoted an OK! source as saying, “She took the high road and wished them well.” HollywoodLies then opined, “Frankly, it’s pretty awesome that she was able to even go as far as congratulating her ex and his new bride!”
No. None of this is true. There was no wedding. It was completely fabricated by OK!, which also made up Lambert’s supposed reaction to the fictional event. And HollywoodLife, because it seemingly rather spread untruths than fact-check, re-published the lies. This is exactly why HollywoodLies is not to be trusted or respected.
