Miranda Lambert NOT Joining “American Idol” To “Hurt” Blake Shelton, Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Miranda Lambert is NOT joining “American Idol,” despite a report falsely claiming she wants to appear on the show to “hurt” Blake Shelton. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story. A rep for Lambert tells us it’s “made up.”
The allegation comes from the fabrication factory known as HollywoodLife, which says Lambert “might have found a way to get back” at Shelton for “revealing his romance with Gwen Stefani right before the CMAs.” The site alleges she’s “hoping to appear on the upcoming season of ‘American Idol,’ which would be an total diss and both Blake and Gwen [sic], who fell for each other while judging on NBC’s hit competitor ‘The Voice.'”
“Miranda is looking to do something with ‘American Idol’ this season both by performing on the show and being a guest mentor during the inevitable Country Week. This would obviously be a dig at Blake and a big get for ‘Idol,'” a so-called “source” tells the site. Keith Urban is even dragged into the nonsense, with the tipster saying the judge “played a major role on getting this done and ‘Idol’ producers are looking forward for her to be a guest on the show.”
But Lambert fans wanting to see her on the FOX competition’s final season shouldn’t get too excited. A rep for the singer exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the claims are a “complete fantasy made up” by HollywoodLife. Of course, everyone knows that’s the webloid’s specialty.
