Miranda Lambert Slams Chris Brown Again: Don’t ‘Celebrate’ Him After Rihanna Assault

Miranda Lambert is once again calling out Chris Brown for his 2009 assault on Rihanna.

The country star, who blasted Brown on Twitter after he performed twice at last year’s Grammys, reignites the feud in the February issue of Redbook.

Lambert tells the mag she slammed the singer because “I didn’t feel right about not saying something. The loudmouth that I am, I say what I think. I wanted everyone to know that I don’t agree with the message it’s sending to young women.”

She adds, “It’s not okay. At all. To be celebrated after doing something like that. I don’t think it’s right, I never will, and I will stand by what I said till the day that I die.”

Lambert’s comments are likely to draw flack from some Brown fans, especially in light of the fact that he and Rihanna are now seeing each other again.

The mag hits newsstands on January 8.

    Her family housed battered women when she was growing up. She has a right to this opinion, as she has seen the damage it causes first hand. I would bet my life she would say the same whether the person was black, white or purple.

    First off, let’s leave race out of it. It’s not right to resort to violence, of any kind, regardless or race. Second, while I agree with her point that it’s wrong to abuse (mental or physical), she needs to let it go. It’s not her place to judge. Especially not publicly, repeatedly.

News Flash Miranda: T.I. still sells his music and he was in a jail for a year. I guess we are also celebrating that. I don’t agree with what Brown did, but seems to me most people have moved on including Rihanna. I’m not sure why she feels the need to draw this kind of attention to herself by talking about Brown.     Grow up lady…It’s been almost 4-years. The boy is not being celebrated for the assault and he never was. Not only did he pay his due’s, by volunteering to help those in need…But he started his own organization. He apologized to RiRi, and the people he offended numerous times. Remember, he was 19, he’s now only 23…Stupid shit comes out of most of us when we are that age…I’m sure you might know, unless you are Jesus Christ himself. We all have sinned, its what we learn from it and survive that makes us better people. Chris was dead-wrong and WE ALL better know that, but he’s helped domestic violence organization, childrens organizations and more…Give him a break Rihanna did.

Falicia people don’t dislike Chris Brown because of the colour of his skin, he is disliked because he beat his girlfriends face onto a pulp. Having said that, Miranda Lambert has made her views known once already. Now it looks like she is using his name to get herself some attention. Whatever gos on with those two now is up to them, Rihanna knows what she is getting into. If it gos pear shaped, and for her sake I hope it doesn’t, then she will have to deal with the choice she made.

    Young generation looking up to one of the aggressive women beater, and they may use the same argument as you did. If they will put their hands on a woman they may quote you, and reasoning their behaviour as public seem to create excuses for certain people. This is a great shame that human intelligence and thinking led to this- justifying reasons for certain people who are becoming criminals.
