Mindy McCready Dead at 37 in Apparent Suicide

Mindy McCready is dead in an apparent suicide.

The troubled country singer’s body was found on the front porch of her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas on Sunday, with the local sheriff’s office announcing that McCready died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

She was 37 years old.

The songstress had a number of personal problems in recent years, with her family committing her to a mental health clinic earlier this month — before she was released for an out-patient program.

McCready’s death comes shortly after the January passing of her boyfriend, David Wilson, and just a few weeks after she slammed speculation that she had anything to do with his death.

The star’s two children — Zander, 6, and Zayne, 9 months — were removed from her care on February 6.

McCready, who had a number of run-ins with the law, reportedly attempted suicide twice before, most recently in 2008, and appeared on “Celebrity Rehab” in 2010.

The singer released five studio albums over the course of her career, with her first, Ten Thousand Angels, released in 1996 and going double platinum in the United States.

I feel just sick for the children. I hope they have plenty of love and patience from those around them to help them deal with their parents’ actions and be healthy happy people themselves.

So sad even if you knew it would probably happen. I hope the boys get good care. I worry for them where they said they were taken from Mindy and put in foster care that none of the family offered to take them. :(

Was hoping she could turn her life around especially for the sake of her children. This type of pain is real……she tried before. As sad as it is for her, I am more sad for the kids. God bless.

I don’t know this woman, never heard her music or knew of her. All I saw is that this beautiful woman took her own life, and I wanted to read on. I am sad for her, her children, her family, and you, all you have to say is she was a mess? Mental illness is over looked because it the invisible killer. It is not a bruise, a swelling or an ache. Someone told me once that if you want to see how sick, mean, cruel and fucked up people are, just go on the internet. You could find the cure for cancer and there will be an ass calling you a show off. Damn, he was right. Like they say, “death is not for one person, it comes to us all, sooner or later”. When it happens to someone else, the least we can do is show some compassion, Thank you.
