“Mind Of Mine” — Zayn Malik Announces Solo Album Title (VIDEO)
Zayn Malik’s first solo album will be called Mind of Mine, he announced during his Beats 1 Radio interview with Zane Lowe, which was broadcast on Thursday. Watch below!
During the candid chat, Malik revealed how much work he put into the highly-anticipated record, which will include the single “Pillow Talk,” slated to be released Friday. “I wrote, I’d say, 46, 47 songs,” he admitted. Only 17 or 18, however, are expected to make the final cut, and the previously-teased “Befour” should be one of them.
Fans can definitely expect to hear a sound different from what Malik listeners may be used to. As Gossip Cop reported, the British singer confessed in the interview that his issues with One Direction had a lot do with the group’s type of music. “I think the boys kind of knew, in terms of the music, that wasn’t my cup of tea. They were aware of that,” he said, explaining, “I couldn’t give my opinion because it didn’t fit the grain of what we were as a band, and what we represented.”
Malik’s sit-down with Lowe came in the wake of the singer canceling this Friday’s “Graham Norton Show” appearance due to a scheduling conflict with completing his album. Check out the clip of Malik announcing the title below!
