Miley Cyrus sat down with Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show” on Friday, and revealed just how fiance Liam Hemsworth popped the question in June.

The singer-actress revealed that the surprise moment took place while she was recording “Lilac Wine” for the Backyard Sessions in, well, her backyard.

She explained, “About 20 minutes after the recording of that song — it’s one of Liam’s favorite songs. He asked me to marry him like 20 minutes later.”

“So while I was singing that song I had no idea,” Cyrus continued. “And he’s sitting there, and I’m like, ‘He’s looking at me funny!’ And then, I knew.”

Cyrus also discussed her upcoming guest stint on “Two and a Half Men,” admitting she found it “creepy” to kiss Angus T. Jones.

How come?

Hint: It has to do with her engagement ring!
